Phor Tan Dam

Venerable Luang Phor Dam was born in the Year of the Snake on Tuesday April 15, 2484. His natal village was Kg. Kok Jumbok, Tak Bai, Narathiwat, Thailand. His birth name is Dam Krai Noi.

He entered monkhood on the 26th July 2504 in Wat Mai Naparam. LP Dam Janthasaro was  conferred the title of Phrakru Nipphanviharati.

Luang Phor Dam remained at Wat Mai Naparam for 3 years before moving to Wat Prachaphirom. It was during his time at this temple that he travelled extensively to study and practise wicha under guidance and supervision of many Masters, including, Ajahn Bok, Luang Phor Bpee, Wat Lahnhoi, Luang Phor Kong ,Wat Kaset Tigaram, Luang Phor Kong, Wat Put, Luang Phor Dee , and of course a short period of time with Tok Raja (Luang Phor Kron, Wat Bangsek)

It is also recorded that he travelled to many of the northern provinces including Laos and Burma walking the entire distance in bear foot, learning from many other great masters of his era.

Luang Phor Than Dam was the first disciple of Luang Phor Dee, Wat Sangha Sitharam, who himself was a direct disciple of Luang Phor Kron.
LP Dee was well versed and knowledgeable Amnat Kungkaphan, Metta, MahaNiyom and MahaLap from Ven. LP Kron. Although not a direct disciple of LP Kron he attained great knowledge of the wicha required to create Phra Pitda amulets in a very similar way.

He also attained extensive knowledge of the kathas used by LP kron for Metta Niyom and Mahalap

LP Dam passed away a few years ago in BE 2551, aged 67.
His amulets remain in great demand, and are highly recommended
